Hi Jamie and the FMLers!
 
I'm sure a few of us will answer your question, but I will add to them.  I
don't have a ferret named Loki, but I have a cat with this name.  Truly, I
wish I'd saved that name for a ferret, because it is soooo appropriate for
ferrets:
 
Loki is the Norse God of Mischief!
 
That should explain the correlation of ferrets and the name Loki.
