I am writing in response to all the people who have been sharing their
"tear-jerking" stories about ferrets dying. Thank you. Your tributes to
obviously very dear family-members are truly touching and beautiful. I love
reading your loving memories of your fuzzies' habits and endearing
qualities. When you share the details of their final illnesses, it gives me
insight into what I might possibly expect. My oldest ferret is only 2, so I
haven't personally experienced the sorrow that you have yet, but I have
shared your grief, even though you weren't aware of it. You have made me
appreciate the short time that I will have to be graced by 4 of the most
delightful companions I will ever know. This is the perfect place for you
to share your feelings, not everybody has access to AOL chatrooms. I think
that MOST people appreciate your lovely tributes to these uniquely gallant
little beings, and those who don't . . . well, that's just their problem.
