Did Karen Burns indicate in court that she was going to euthanize Kodo
because no studies had been done with the bat virus and ferrets? If so, did
she also state that no studies had been done on dogs or cats with the bat
variant of the virus, but she declined to euthanize them? It seems to me
that only making the statement about the ferrets is not "the truth, the
whole truth, and nothing but the truth."
Why would Harry Chaddock's (the State Head Vet) boss tell him to stay out of
the Kodo issue? Just who is his boss? Doesn't it seem as if a veterinarian
should get involved? It seemed from Gary Holwicki's conversation with him
that he might be convinced (given enough information), and he could possibly
direct Karen Burns to release Kodo to his owners. She did say that if
someone with more authority than she were to give this order, she would
comply.
We have to keep fighting.
