Hi there,

I had a customer come into my store yesterday to buy a new kit to replace
one which had died. She said it died of Chromes Disease?? I never thought
ferrets could get this...can they? Can someone email me and let me know if
this is true??

The reason why I find this so hard to beleive is that the vets here don't
know the first thing about ferrets ...i mean they don't know what ECE is so
how can they diagnose a ferret with Chromes disease?? They don't EVER do
bloodwork and RARELY take x-rays...i'm not trying to bash the vets (i work
at a clinic too), but it just doesn't add up. I don't beleive any tests
were done to this ferret as the owner said she didn't have money to afford
stuff like that AND she couldn't afford adrenal surgery which they also
thought it was.

Just curious about the Chromes Disease thing and it's symptems if it's
something that can happen.

Thanks
