I am taking my cherished Pinky to vet on Wednesday, March 12, for her 3
month check-up. Suggestions or advice from vets would be appreciated.
Pinky is a 6 year 9 month old female. She has chronic bowel disease,
insulimona, & an adrenal tumor. As far as the chronic bowel disease &
insulimona, she is maintaining well. She receives brewer's yeast daily, .35
cc prednisone every other day, & is fed frequently. She had Lysodren
treatment which ended in November 1996. The vet prescribed .75 cc Lysodren
every day for 7 days, then ever 3 days for 8 weeks. Unfortunately, she is
starting to lose hair again.
The vet where I used to live favors Ketaconazole (sp?) over Lysodren. Vets,
any comments? I do not know if he would suggest this treatment for her
since she is taking Prednisone.
At the last exam, the vet said her spleen is enlarged & he would monitor it.
I see every day Pinky is with us as a blessing.
Thank you in advance to anyone who may reply.
Tracy & the girls,
Pinky, Jasmine, Bear, & Ariel
In loving memory of Shadow
