In response to Jean's question about ferrets eating broccoli: My ferrets
don't like veggies too much, but I have a (vegetarian) friend with 3 female
ferrets who are insane for cauliflower.  She had told me that they love the
stuff, but I didn't really believe it until last week.  We were visiting at
their place and she brought in a bowl full of cauliflower pieces and put it
in their cage.  They went nuts and ate it all.  Darndest thing I have ever
seen.
