No offense to your personal grooming habits intended, but I think they like
the smell!  All three of ours will nibble toes on occasion.  I always wear
slippers around the house.  Ankles are usually safe, unless they're wet!
Buckwheat, our baby, is a terror if he gets under the covers when we're
still in bed.  He'll lick, nibble, lick, nibble, etc.  until you can't stand
it anymore!
 
On water consumption, ours would rather drink anywhere BUT their water
bottle--the shower, the dog's dish, the aquarium, a glass of water.  Bucky
will put his WHOLE HEAD under water, which is pretty gross if it happens to
be in your water glass!
