Hopefully this will not be as delayed as most of our responses lately have
been... BIG what happened to the last post you said you'd put in but not
that day?

[Moderator's note: Upon closer inspection, I think I need to contact you
off-list about it. BIG]

Some names in shorthand we're not sure we recognize. Just want to make sure
we know who to give credit to...

Dick is Dick Bossart right? Is Dr. Hoffman, the Dr. Freddie Hoffman, VP of
AFA and of the CDFA board? We have no idea who Dr. Snyder or Serita might
be.

It was a lot of work it sounds like; so good job!

This points to why we shouldn't rely on media folks paid to be funny.
People like Jay Leno could get far more humor out of picking on ferrets than
the political machinations of the CA F&G. Trying to turn "witty" folks and
their shows into political soapboxes will make a mockery of legalization
efforts.

We checked out the American Ferret Association records on shelters and don't
see any in Kentucky. There are some in Tennessee and other bordering
states. Maybe you Kentucky folks though ought to form sort of state
organization or settle for a National group such as the AFA.

We're indirectly relaying information from Dr. Curlee of United Vaccines
(Fervac-D) The first shot at 8 weeks is a maybe needed maybe not needed
thing depending upon immunization from the mother. If it has worn off you
need it. If it hasn't you don't. Better safe than sorry. But the third
shot being on no sooner than week 14 is critical so it rather closely
matches what your vet was telling you. One would think your vet reads the
material from United. Good for him/her.

>Subject: Kaytee Ferret Food OK???

If KayTee is the only food she'll eat its fine. Supplemental protiens and
fats would be good (chicken baby food and Linatone for example). Kaytee is
normally not one of our recommendations because of ferret preference as much
as nutrition. Obviously taste is not a problem here.

BUT Totally Ferret is available easily in the suburbs. Private email to us
if you need help getting it. Diane works downtown so we can even get it
into the city for you.
