A few weeks ago I watched a video tape on raising, keeping and breeding
ferrets. It was produced in England and was hosted by a supposed ferret
expert. He did seem quite knowledgeable and it was a very interesting and
informative tape. At least nothing in the video caused me to go... "awww,
this guy doesn't know what he's talking about." Not that I'M the consumate
expert. :)

Anyhoo... one of the things mentioned was that any cleaning/disinfecting
product that turns white when poured in water is phenol based and toxic to
ferrets. Whether this means full strength, only while wet, etc., I couldn't
say. I would also venture to say that just because something doesn't turn
the water white, doesn't means it's safe... So I'll bet that answered your
question. :)
