Hi, my ferret Scooter who is almost 6 months old, has a couple of small
patches of discolored skin on her chest between her front legs. It looks
almost like a bruise, but when I look closer it just looks like dry skin.
She scratches at it once in a while, but all in all, it doesn't seem to
bother her. The color of it is brownish-orange. Everything else is good,
she eats and drinks well, she's very active and she sleeps well. Could this
just be dry skin, or should I be worrying and taking her to the vet
immediately. She has had it for about 3 weeks now, we thought we would wait
and see if it would go away. Any suggestions?

Monica and Scooter.
