Dear Ferret Friends,
First, since I am not computer literate I sent a message to Bill Gruber
which I know he weill be sending out today it's a message about the Waders
that were so badly needed. I am so pleased beyond words to report that a
ferret organization in Canada shipped the Waders out yesterday and they were
received by the Emergeancy Animal Rescue Services today. I might ask that
when you see that message, you might want to send a thank you to
monica_Istvan@hotmail.com.. Monica got right on the problem and she solved
it (at what is my opinion great personal expense).
I know that many of you are downhearted after seeing the news where they
talked and showed the pet store that was flooded and the Children of fur,
feathers, scales and shells perished. All I can say is that I am sure the
Children were greeted by ferrrets, dog, cats and others as they crossed the
Rainbow Bridge - the words are not adequate here - but darn what can be
said - we are sheding so many tears.
The flood waters are receding and the EARS, HSUS, AHA, ASPCA are doing their
best to help the animals. Please keep sending your donations. Don't be
disheartened by the news storys. Your supplies are getting through - I know
this as I get phone calls as well as E-Mail telling me how much your
contributions are appreciated.
Oh my dear Ferret Friends - you are so wonderful for all you are doing for
the Children of fur, feathers, scales and shells.
Chere McCoy
Director Ferret Friends Disaster Response International.
P.S. Those two leggers that have been evacuated from the Grand Forks area
will not be returning to their homes for a minimum of 9 to 14 days. They
will not be able to retrieve their beloved Children for they have no home to
take their Children too. Please keep sending the donations of Cat Food, Dog
Food, Leash's, large animal Harness.
