Sorry but it is a surgical neutering. The openings needed are so small
there is no scar. Usually no scar on later alters as well.

We went to the show last year and are planning to go again. It was a whole
lot of fun! Well recommended for you Northern Midwesterners... I was one of
the judges last year along with Vickie McKimmey and Sally Heber (in inverse
order). It was a VERY well run show. Met lots of really nice people.

Are we on your list for show packets? We already got one about sponsoring a
ring.
Technically the AFA "sanctions" only the championship ring judging. One of
the requirements for sanctioning is AFA licensed judges. The sponsor
organization gets to pick at least a third of the judges from the pool.
The AFA gets to select the rest. This isn't meant to be demeaning or
anything just legalese as an FYI. The MFA sponsors the show the is they
run the thing. Bunches of people and companies sponsor individual rings
at the show - generously pay money up front in exchange for later
advertising/self-gratification. Just semantics from the contracts...
