Ferret eye color

No matter how long you have you ferrets - they never cease to amaze you.
The other day we noticed that our two ferrets have distinctive eye colors
under certain light conditions.  I'm not talking about black vs.  red eyes
here, we have two black-eyed ferrets, and yet their eyes "flash" in
different colors when they reflect light or when the late afternoon sun
catches their eyes just right.  When that happens, Benito's eyes flash a
sparkly-dark mossy green, while Pixel's "glow" a strange amber-golden color.
 
Has anybody else ever noticed this with their ferrets?  What are some other
colors?  Do red-eyed ferrets "change" eye colors like that too?
