Holmes Chinchilla Ranch, in PA. Address and number might be on STAR*'s list
(I'm not at my personal computer answering this...) Several years ago I was
at a Pet Expo where they were selling under aged ferrets. The people
working the LOS booth, myself, and other ferret lovers tried very hard to
explain to her that they were too young, kept in the wrong kind of display
container, and other things. Finally, the woman running the booth wouldn't
talk or listen to anyone (even snapped at customers). I've not tried
working with them since. They breed all sorts of rodents for pet shops, and
ferrets are the only carnivores they breed, but I bet are kept like rodents
because it is easier on their facility.

Kris,
I'm the small animal writer for _The Pet Dealer_, as well as small animal
and ferret editor for _Animals Exotic and Small_. You don't need to submit
to PD, but I'd like to publish other people's bylines in AE&S. (no money
involved but the exposure is good). E-mail me if you (or anyone else
reading this) is interested. All small animal articles welcomed!
