Just looking for some advice!
I have two ferrets, one is about 1 year and the other is about 6 months.
Lately I have noticed that the older ferret has been getting thinner. I
didn't know for sure, but she just felt lighter when I picked her up. I
decided that maybe there was some competition going on, so I put the two
ferrets in seperate cages. (I keep my ferrets in a cage when I am not home
during the day). The older ferret only eats about half as much as the
younger one, (on a good day), but she drinks a lot more water. She has been
going to the bathroom a normal amount, except there has been a lot of urine.
Her activity level is a little slower than usual, and she is sleeping more.
I took her to the vet on Sat. and the vet said that she had once weighed 2
lbs., and now she only weighs 1.2 lbs.. This concerned us both. The vet
tested her urine and her feces and found nothing unusual. The vet suggests
that we get a blood sample and test that.

I think I should do that, but am I just being paranoid? What could be wrong
with my ferret? Or is there anything wrong?

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Erin
