I have some experience with this as my 3rd son Matt (who is owned by
Hendrix) is a professional carpet shampooer and does ours every 6 months.
Since most of the chemicals are sucked up by the vacuum (in a pro set-up at
least) just wait till the carpet dries. Your fuzzbutt will be fine. BTW
Mat is 20, 6'6" and weighs 260, and has a heart of gold.
