Hi all,
I know this has been asked before but I can't remember what the responses
were so please be kind <g>
Fidget has this habit of eating THIN cotton and papertowels, tissues, and
pretty much any other paper product you can name that he can get his paws
on. He's been doing this since he was 12 weeks and he just turned 6 months
on July 11.
It seems to me he eats the cotton when he is either bored or mad at me. One
time I had him up in the bedroom while I changed sheets and after he decided
I wasn't paying enough attention to him (after I had worn myself out playing
chase on the floor) he crawled INTO the middle of the laundry basket and
drug out one of my socks. It was one of those thin tennis type ones, and he
proceeded to eat it until I realized he was being way too silent. He won't
bother thick cotton <knock on wood> like heavy towels or t-shirts.
He also gets into wastepaper bins and steals the tissues, napkins, crumpled
paper and makes a dash for the hidey-hole so he can chew in peace.
I do my best to keep the house free of such temptations but since I'm not
the only one there (Fidget lives at my boyfriend's house since I'm not
allowed pets and the boyfriend currently has a roommate) every now and then
a paper towel or sock gets left around.
Anyway, is Fidget just looking for extra attention or does he have a
deficiency of some sort? He eats Iams kitten formula and he loves it. Plus
he gets some Ferratone too. His wieght is steady and he is active as can be.
TIA
chris
