This is the start of pollen/allergy season! I notice that you took in Bree
some six months ago - this would have been in the late fall, right? Not
much pollen in the air over the winter. The pollen counts seem to be
doubling almost daily right now, at least in our area (desert southwest) - I
don't know where you are, so I don't know how pollen/allergens are in your
area, but that would be one of the things I'd check out as a possible cause
for your husband's problems. Did his asthma flare up around this same time
last year? - then it's probably NOT the ferret.

If Monzie is having recurrent periods of dizzyness and hind end weakness, I
would have him evaluated by a vet. The first possibility that comes to my
mind (and this is only my opinion - I am NOT a vet, nor do I have as much
experience as some on this list) is insulinoma. Other possibilities could
be viral infections, or injuries to the spine..... but better safe than
sorry, and a good vet can not only find the cause of problems, they can also
reassure you of things that are NOT the problem.

Another (sigh) limerick - this one is for a shelter kid with insulinoma:

Maxwell the Ferret's a glutton
For his duck soup with turkey and mutton.
He says, "I'm no pig,
I'm supposed to be big!"
But his coat's almost too tight to button!
