HI YALL!
 
Here are a few things I have seen lately!
 
FERRETS & BIRDS: Generally around here thats a NO NO!  Out of all my parrots
(9) only 3 will stand CJ.  There are 2 that totally freak out when she
enters the room.  They throw themslef against the cage and go wild.  The
other 4 began to scream as loud as they can, some just yell, one yells for
HELP!  The three that can stand her just sit and look at her and the
others..  one tries to call her "here kitty kitty"!  VERY funny... you walk
in to see CJ in the middle of the room and looking aroound and 6 birds goin
crazy.  All joking aside, when a bird is put under stress like that it can
be deadly.  Most parrots can die instantly of a heart attack or the stress
can build up on them and kill them.  SO I try to keep CJ out of the bird
room if I can,,, she usualy tries to stay out any ways cause all the sound
is scary!
 
FERRET PRICES: I am also in TX..  around here ferret prices vary... one
store sells them for 129.00 another for 139.00 the most exp is 150.00 for
sables and 200!!!  for slivers and albino.  This store also says that they
are "rare".  Not meaning rare ferret, just rare to the store.
 
This is honestly killing me..  I want another ferret so bad I am ready to go
to town and buy one from a pet store.  I made a HUGE mistake and have fallen
in love with a sliver mitt... its at the store for 200$ and even though I
can get one for 120 elsewear, I want him so bad.  He is drop dead cool!
White with sliver spots and silver streaks.  I really want one that needs a
home and love from a shelter but I am just about tied down.  The shelters
around me are in ElPaso, Austin, Kerville, and SanAntino.  ALL of which are
5 hrs away!!!!!
 
WHAT TO DO?!  can someone please offer words of support!?  =-) Will I be a
totally bad awful person to go and buy a ferret from a pet shop?  I dont
want to be a hypiocrit but I need and want another ferret.  Money is not the
problem.  It kills me knowing there are all theses fuzzies out there in
shleters that need love but they are just out of reach.  Am I going behind
our backs and supporting the industry?  that we are having to clean up
after.  I also talked to a few of the shelters and only one knew what city I
was in and said she never drove through here... so there goes the idea of
delivery!  =-)
 
Well I look back and now realise that I have bored you all SORRY!!!!
