food for F'rets

I feed my 2 f'rets a generic brand of cat food. It is not kitten food. I
have heard the rumors and the horror stories about kitten food, and wouldn't
think about giving my little guys kitten food. But I was wondering if
anyone out there knows if cat food is okay for f'rets. Does it have the
same effect on a ferret that kitten food does? My ferrets health means
everything to me, and I wouldn't want jeopardize them. I would be willing
to spend a little extra on Ferret food, but they like what they have now,
and turn their noses up at other brands of cat food I've tried. I would
really appreciate it, if there is anyone out there that could tell me if I
am jeopardizing my little pink noses' health by giving them cat food.

                        thanx,
                 Michelle and her 2 weasels
