With all the wrong information printed in the news finally we have someone
here in Texas who prints info on Kodo accurately. If you look in the FW
Star Telegram for 6/17 you will find a story about Kodo's rabies test. This
reporter states Mr. Ostlund was scratched not bitten and that he did not
want Kodo killed. It also goes on to say Kodo was current on rabies
vaccinations and that Karen Burns was not surprised that he did not have
rabies. He called it a "Death Sentence". This reporter mentioned that the
state of Michigan has tested over 200 ferrets for rabies since 1994 with
none testing positive. He stated also that only one ferret in the country
has tested postive since 1994. It certainly looks like we have one pro
ferret person in the media.
