Hello!  My name is Bettina Rister and I am from Alabama, and due to a recent
Pet Fair we had where some wonderful Ferret Rescue people came with all sort
of information and loving ferrets, I have become a ferret junkie!  I hope to
get my first ferret with in the next few months and am joining the list to
learn more about our "slinky" friends before he gets here.  I look forward
to meeting many of you and learning a lot.  I am also a very big Dog
person....owning 2 scottish terriers (who by the way got to play with the
ferrets at the event and got on MARVELOUSLY) and a mixed breed, and 3 cats.
I am active in rescue, and hopefully one day....when I know enough about
ferrets, I will actively rescue them too!  I am also very active in our
local kennel club, and love to do public education activities as well.  I
hope that I can help with the rabies shed study in some way or another....
I am also a VERY BIG idea person....if you can think it....I WILL find a way
to get it done....provided I have the time <bG>.  I am 23 y/o single and am
attending college to become an animal behaviorist/psychologist....
 
About Kodo....why dosn't some one go for MEDIA COVERAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing like bad press to change a judges mind, or make a lot of animal
people ANGRY.  Some one call Hard Copy....or some thing like it and tell
them about the injustice that is going on....Heck!  I am sure they have a
web site...if several of us sent Email about Kodo...they may pospone his
execution or set him free...this can also offer an opportunity to talk about
the rabies shed study, and educate people about the gentleness of ferrets...
 
Just a thought.  Maybe somebody with all the details can get this thing
going.  Hope this helps!
