The only time I've heard Alex Bennet give favorable air time to ferrets was
when he had Quentin Kopp on the show. I didn't know Kopp's stand on
ferrets, just that he was a CA assemblyperson. I called the show and asked
Kopp about the ferret issue. Alex very generously allowed Kopp to explain
about his involvement in the issue and describe what's been going on with
ferret legislation.

Alex and Lori know how to treat important guests, and usually no matter how
they feel about that guest they don't berate him/her on the air. Because
Quentin was there they couldn't be impolite to me. I must say I was pretty
flustered and it's not at all easy to hear all their questions when they're
talking at once.

I did manage to blurt out the CDFA web page (this was before the CFL was
formed).

Anyway I agree that there's nothing more that we can really do to sway Alex.
If we bug him too much and he'll just hurt us more. BUT if we could get
someone like Quentin Kopp back on his show, then we could get lots of facts
straight. I think Alex would be especially interested to hear that ferrets
are safer pets for AIDS patients, for instance.
