Greetings, all!  Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but work has been
particularly brutal lately.
 
The new fuzzy-beanlet let it be known that he wanted his name NOW..  so I
have officially named him Smudge.  It's interesting..  Smudge is only 13
weeks old, and he's bigger than Jabba by a full half pound!  Jeez..  a
thirteen week old fert weighing 3.5 lbs, and all of it hard muscle!  He's
going to be a MONSTER when he finishes growing!
 
Now for the funny story.  To the hooman men out there... a word of WARNING:
NEVER EVER EVER fall asleep where your ferrets can get to you when you are
wearing sweat-pants!  Ferret's like to crawl up pant legs, right?  And they
can playfully nip if you don't pay attention, right?  Suffice it to say, I
had a rather rude awakening this morning.  Cayanne had crawled up my pant
leg and...well...um....er... well, I guess she wanted me to play then and
there, and here I was asleep.  Most DEFINITELY I woke up..  and spent five
minutes running around my apartment with a ferret (now agitated, because she
didn't like my scream of pain) firmly attached to..  well... er... yes.  She
was firmly attached.
 
Fortunately, she decided to let go after that...episode.... and was easily
removed from the sweatpants.  She was given some ferretone and a raisin to
calm her down... (she was as bottle-brushed as I'd ever seen her) and put to
bed.  That is when I started laughing my fool head off, because AFTER the
fact, it seemed amusing.  DURING, let me assure you, I was anything BUT
amused!
 
And don't worry... Cayanne is fine.  A little spooked still, but fine
nonetheless.

Cayanne: Well, I'd seen on that internet thingie that Ferret-legging
was supposed to be fun. But I really don't care for it...
