Hi, I'm going to be away as you read this, but I set this up anyway.
At http://www.golden.net/~prex/kodo.html you will find a thumbnail image of
a computer-ready file for a T-shirt design. Anyone looking for a quick
T-Shirt can print it out onto Cannon's T-Shirt Transfer Paper at home or at
their local copy shop. It shows a sleeping sable "watercolour" with the
slogan "Kodo can only dream of justice without Your support." Yeah, feel
free to change the slogan, or the image, or anything...just:
If you use it/sell it/whatever, DONATE TO KODO'S CAUSE.
The image is BMP format, so you can also greyscale it and use it for posters
if you like. (E.g. MS-Word will accept BMP files.) The image will print
out to about 8" x 9" at full size. If you have any doubts about your
computer's printing abilities, try a few test runs with ordinary paper and
various printer options. A few hints are listed on the webpage. If you
come up with a good scheme for making the image work, let others know.
The image is not approprate for silk-screening, only for computer printer
transfers. This was my Saturday morning project, and while I would have
liked to have made it into a line drawing as soon as I realized that would
have worked out much better--I ran out of time. I wasn't going to post it
after all but then realized that it didn't come out too badly as a computer
transfer here in my "home laboratory". On the bright side, you can get a
T-shirt printed up pretty darned fast this way.
Anybody who wants to spruce the image up has my blessing. I suspect that it
would work a little spiffier if the colour saturation was higher, but I
don't have a great colour printer so I can't thouroughly test that
hypothesis. Besides, the local weasels have been scheming to rip out the
print head with every test run. Man, next inkjet I buy better have
"certified ferret-proof" right there on the box ;-)
All my love to all the stinkrats out there, especially Kodo. Lynn.
Note: I'm back home Monday if you have queries or questions.
