Since Iams now has canned kitten food, I worked out a different version of
duck soup that is faster and easier, and the food stays in the solution much
easier:

1 large can Iams kitten food
1 8 oz can vanilla Sustacal or Boost (both lactose free)
4-8 oz of water
1 inch of Ferretvite or Nutrical

Blend all together in a blender, adding baby banana food if your fuzzy has
diarrhea.

Instead of ice cube trays, I have found that using the foil cupcake liners
to freeze them in is pretty easy--you can pop 4 into a small ziploc bag once
they are frozen and you don't have to handle the frozen soup directly (and
each holds more)
