The Liz Hillyer book says that ferret who weight about a kilogram and
tolerate furosemide well can go up to 0.4 ml three times/day. Let your
vets know!!!!!!
We are doing that dose now.
Meltdown began to fill up rapidly again so we gave her extra to keep her
lungs comfortable and had to rush to the vet to get a mercy shot, then we
found out about the new dosing so we are going to that. It looks like she
might have another day in her, plus the extra furosemide can cause a
potassium drop which could induce another bout of syncope so it actually
increases her chances of going peacefully without pain.
She comfy and stable now so we will try to collect ourselves well enough to
do some grocery shopping.
Please, continue to hope for her to go gently.
Please, accept our love for all the kind wishes and comforting thoughts
which have been sent. You don't know how much you are helping us.
I should send this to multiple friends, but I can't see very straight and
am shaky.
