Well, my naughty ferret, Pepper (a huge silver mitt who jumps my gates and
has the run of the house when they're out of the cage) has decided to be a
music critic! My step-son plays the trumpet and we've discovered Pepper
apparently doesn't like how he plays!! Any time the ferrets are out and he
starts to practice, Pepper runs for the 3rd floor as fast as he can, runs up
to the kid and BITES his ankle! O_O Now we try to remember to close the
door to the 3rd floor to save the poor kid's ankles. :)
He also apparently wanted to make sure my husband, who was sick in bed, knew
he was around. He crawled up under the covers and nipped him on the elbow!
Then he did it again to the other elbow! I guess Pepper thought Roy should
not be sleeping the day away!!
He's been stealing all *sorts* of stuff and hiding it. He stole two xmas
presents before I could wrap them (they'll have to get 'em later ... I
haven't found them yet), took the roll of toilet paper my husband uses for
kleenex off the bed, snitched the *same* package of socks three times (no
matter where I put them, he gets them!), and was blissfully happy knocking
q-tips all *over* the place when he got on the bathroom sink (again). At
least he didn't dig the dirt out of the plant this time. I guess he was
distracted by all the q-tips. *sigh*
I rearranged my library/den and had been carefully closing the door to keep
him out, but the other day I was working in there and he gleefully charged
in at full speed and proceeded to do a high-speed (but in minute detail)
search of all the new shelves and storage spaces. It was hilarious watching
him climb, jump down from, poke his head into, sniff, walk across, check
out, etc. every single item in the room! He went over that room with a
fine-toothed set of whiskers in only 2 minutes! He also found a stash of
wrapped xmas presents and proceeded to push each and every one out of the
closet and onto the floor! O_O Gawd. If I had 1/10 that energy ...
