cost of spaying and neutering

To spay a female here in Lawrence, Ks, it would cost $150 bucks!  I asked
the vet why whould you want to pay that much when you can get one at the pet
stores much cheaper and he had no answer for me.  That's a horrible price.
 
Earl May, the garden store, has the nerve to carry pets.  I heard they had
ferrets, so i dropped in to check on them.  They are two real big males that
are doing just fine.  they do not nip or anything.  they appear to be at
least 4 months old.  I wonder where they got them.  they didn't have tatoos.
