This is a quick note - I have a Biostatistics final in ten minutes.  (pray
for me, won't you?) The guy who brought up the whole ferret thing wrote back
to me (he was very nice about it, BTW.  I guess his rehab shelter lost its
license a fwe years ago for taking in a lost ferret.) He forwarded my
questions to the CA F&G, and will let me know what they say.  For anyone
interested, I didn't know if you had this info or not, but the guy at CA F&G
who handles the ferret issues is Capt. Phil Nelms, and his e-mail address
