Ugh - just spent $66 on food for ferrets and cats - ran out of food for
everyone all at once. Anyway, we're mixing Iams Kitten (or adult, for
Potpie) with Eukanuba Lamb n Rice and Totally Ferret, and that seems to work
out well. At least, i havent heard any complaints. :) They're funny in how
they eat - Noodle and Potpie just stick their heads in the bowl and stuff
themselves, while Easel and Friday have to remove each piece they eat from
the bowl before consuming it. Friday actually never eats *at* the bowl -
running away with a mouthful to some hidey-hole is preferred. Weirdos.
Anyway, i figured the poop differences were due to the higher-quality food
additions (TF, Euk.). Glad to hear someone else is having the same good
results.

Potpie, who had been showing weird symptoms of weird things, turns out to be
fine - as usual. The vet did a blood panel and very thorough exam which all
came up showing i have one dratted healthy ferret. To the best of my
knowledge, she just caught a series of bugs - sore throat, intestinal virus -
on top of each other, which made her seem sicker than she was. Our house is
very dry and the temperature keeps fluctuating (wood stove heat) so it makes
sense that she could catch something easily. The blood panel didnt even
show the same problems her last did, a year ago - she's just healthy. Of
course, she's fat and she just blew her coat, so she feels like a wire brush
and looks mangy... What a stinker. I think she just likes me to spend money
on her. And Bill K - Potpie's ears are crooked too. Maybe the gravity here
in Ann Arbor is lopsided, and makes one half of my ferrets grow slower than
the other half. *grin*
