Oh dear, I've been bitten by the limerick bug.
There once was a ferret called Pepper
Who thought he might mail a letter
But a paw-print is not a stamp
And the corners seemed a bit damp
And it came back marked "return to sender."
There once was a ferret called Mort
Who's legs were really quite short
But he'd stretch them all out
And spring with a shout
And turn flying into a sport.
There once was a pup called Harley
Who thought that ferrets were gnarly
So she'd growl and she'd bark
At those 'ol carpet sharks
And that is how they would parley.
(ha-ha, and I even looked up "parley"--"informal conference, esp. to settle
differences"! Ha! Just like I meant it to mean.)
Bumper stickers:
Have you danced with your weasel today?
I dook for corners. (raisins, socks, ferrets, etc.)
Honk if you're owned by a business of ferrets.
(Business is really an apt term for a group of ferrets, isn't it?)
--Sheri (and Mort and Pepper and Harley, who are all sleepy today and don't
have anything to say.)
