Hi ya'll!
I wanted to first of all thank everyone on all the information on starting a
shelter! I will try to e-mail the Charlotte shelter again!
About all of these pet stores that people are talking about I have an idea.
Call the local Better Business Bureau and report the store! I am not sure
what procedures they do but I asume that they will send people out to check
out the place. I am sure that the BBB can do something and I am sure that
the pet store does not want a bad mark from them! If that doesn't work try
calling the Humane society, or other animal rights organizations. I am sure
that if they are neglecting the ferrets, they are probably neglecting all of
the other animals as well!
I work in a very nice clean pet store. I, being a ferret lover, make sure
that people that buy ferrets understand them a little more than I did when I
got my first one! I also let the "older" ferrets run around for a little
while in a small room! If anyone in Charlotte is reading this come to Pet
Pros in Pineville! We have the cutest babies and none of them nip hard at
all!!! Actually I was pretty surprised that they didn't! I try to go in
and handle all of them, pick them up etc! What I really want to do is take
them all home! :)
Well I hope that everyone has a wonderfully fuzzy Christmas!
