Hi FML Family!
I have been real busy getting settled into my new home. I have been showing
my Mom, Mo' Maggie, all the things she forgot to ferret-proof. I always
seem to surprise her, but she just doesn't think like one of us.
It is pretty cold here, but it doesn't bother me much. All them wimps from
Houston are complaining about it though. I told them they ain't seen
nothing yet.
I get to sleep with Mom a lot here. She sleeps with two pillows, one for
her head and one by her tummy (she says its for her back). When I am not
put up in my cage, I climb up into bed with her and sleep in the pillow by
her tummy. Sometimes I sleep all night there. I listen to her breathe and
it relaxes me. And she says she listens to me snore. I must get that from
my Dad. But Mom said to tell ya'll that I don't drool like he does. But
maybe I am just not old enough yet, Mom says Dad is getting up there.
I got to see my Dad again, Mo' Bob. He came over for visit and held me and
talked to me. And he even fed me a raisin, holding it in his mouth like he
used to. He thought I would have forgotten about that. How could I forget
anything that my Dad taught me? I didn't get to play with him as much as I
wanted but I know he will come over again and see me. I am just too cute to
ignore.
The new house is a lot better for my boyfriend, Nicky. He has a little
trouble with his hind legs, they don't always do what he wants them too. In
our old house we had lots of wood floors and it was two story. His legs
would slide around on the wood floor and the stairs really slowed him down.
But our new house is all one floor with carpet most everywhere. So he can
run almost as fast as me when we play chase. I always outsmart him. He is
just a boy you know.
And he does one thing that really irritates me, he won't stop cleaning my
ears. But when he is really pushy about it I just scruff him and shake him
around and he stops.
All the wimps from Houston complained a lot about the trip here, but I tried
to tell them it wasn't very much compared to my trip with Dad from Calgary.
I think they just like to complain, they are soo spoiled.
I really like my new name. Sometimes I even hear Mom when she says it. And
I discovered something else today too. I like the music by Talking Heads.
Me and Mom were dancing around to it earlier. She was laughing at me since
I kept staring at the speakers. She said I must like the beat.
I better go now, Mom says she needs the computer. Too bad. But I will write
again soon.
Fuzzy kisses and raisins to all,
Pookie Bear
