Hi Everybody...
 
Opus was doing better and better..  then suddenly last night he started
sinking and soon became critical... he wad taken back into surgery this
morning and a by pass for the Pyloric valve was installed..  his stomach was
severely distended and the pyloric valve has again shut tight..
 
He was weak for the first surgery..  and this second one was super touch and
go..  but the gallant little guy Made It!!!  He is staying the night at the
vets so the vet can attend him thru until tomorrow..  [now that's some
vet!!].., but fluids are going in thru the by pass tube that was inserted in
the abdomen and remains open for feeding and fluids..  it goes directly into
the digestive tract and by passes the P-Valve... At last report he is awake
and responsive..  and has a fair chance if everything is taken very slowly
and nothing more goes to the dickens..
 
However..  he still very much needs your attention... his Daddy is a basket
case... that man has incredible devotion not to mention sheer
stubbornness!!!  so please keep this brave little fighter in your thoughts
and say a mantra or two when you can for him..  OK??  Please???
 
Tonight, again, is a critical time frame..  every hour he stays with us
increases the odds he will survive this... and he WANTS to stay with his
Daddy..  I don't know who is the stronger fighter..  Opus or his Daddy...
 
Thank you all for your help during this long bitter struggle for this little
ones life..  He can only be gathering strength from all the good things you
have all been sending him..  no way could he have pulled through these
surgeries on his own..
