Well, the very large play group -- my personal stash of ferrets were out
for their morning exercise after 30 minutes I though ever so smugly, this
looks good-- I will just scoot to the post office to mail this bundle of
shelter mail. Mind you the post office is just one small block from the
house and shelter. Well, much to my surprise(?) really I should have
learned by now -- my house proof group of ferrets had entirely trashed the
dining room area. They had climbed upon boxes of folded educational guides
and overturned them, which in turn had toppled the walk a thon forms, which
had knocked over a large bag of elastic bands-- dancing ferrets strewn them
across the floor, and were ever so very proud of them selves!
There was a large plastic bag which had been full of very small plastic bags
for dry electrolyte powder -- which were amassed everywhere. Then they had
had so much fun-- why stop here-- Mom will be so pleased! The climbed into
the small cubbys of the dining room credenza and knocked off everything that
would move! Aye! And without my morning coffee!!!
I did hear them say they enjoyed the work so very much they would be happy
to help someone else out! Any takers!
Now more than ever is the time for filing cabinets for shelter forms etc!
It is not safe -- even with the docile group.
Well, I am hoping they were really tired, for as I started to clean this
early morning play area -- I placed each hard working and creative fur child
back into their large condo. Now, it's time for the shelter chores-- it
will be a long day!
Alicia
exhausted at 9AM!
