I'd like to hear about experiences you've had dealing with apartments that
don't take ferrets.  I could not find *any* apartments in the area I was
moving to that would take ferrets, so I gave them away to friends, but now I
regret it terribly.  They're legal in my state, just not my aprartment.
 
Have you ever tried to change an apartments policy?  What helped?  Keeping
caged?  Big deposit?  Do they *ever* listen?
 
Have you kept ferrets when they weren't allowed.  Ever be caught?  Ever been
threatened or actually evicted over having ferrets?
 
I'm slowly losing my mind right now.  I'd like to hear what you have to say.
