Many, many thanks to all who e-mailed, called, posted, etc., wondering how
to help the Pocono Pet Store Ferret. I'm so glad that "someone" from
Philadelphia rescued her AND got her to the vet. I see that the rescuer
posted anonymously, and I respect that, but if there's any chance of that
person e-mailing me, please do, I would like to "speak" to you privately.
Thanks so much for helping this fuzzy. She totally captivated me, I feel
that I was destined to see her and somehow contribute to her rescue. How I
wish it had been me who took her in the first place! All three of my
ferrets are adoptions/ rescues.
Am hoping to go to the Big Apple Ferret thing in White Plains -- guess I'll
stick a label on my shirt that says FML.
About ferrets fighting and not ever getting along: After four months, Cody
still hates Chip and Dale, and Dale still tries to murtilize Cody at every
opportunity. They scream, draw blood, and practice projectile pooping.
Lately I have been pulling them apart and scruffing them, dragging them on
the floor and yelling NO FIGHTING! This works for about 5 minutes. Sigh.
Cody is just so much happier, bouncier, and cuter when she's out alone that
I now keep them apart whenever they're out. (about an hour in the AM,
anywhere from 2 to 3 hours in the PM).
