Ferret keeping Jason awake at night

Jason, I would first ask you, does your ferret get out to play very much?
Even if he does, you might try leaving him out for as long as possible in
the evening before you go to bed, and letting him play and get plenty of
exercise then as well as any other time during the day that he is out.  He
might sleep through the night if he goes to bed late.  If that doesn't work,
what I would do is get him a large fun cage that he could play around in,
and possibly get him a playmate (another ferret) as well.  It sounds like he
may be very bored.  My ferrets have lots and lots of freedom and plenty to
do when they are awake, so they sleep well when they must go back to their
rooms.
