To Upset in CA:
 
If I had been the one who found this ferret, I would never have allowed a
neighbor's child - or any child - to play with it.  It's a lost ferret, out
of it's own domain, probably scared and maybe hungry, you don't really know
anything about it - it's temperament, etc.
 
Why on earth did she allow someone else's child to play with this ferret?
