This last August I won a nice hammock in a raffle( At the OFA Fun Match!!
Great Fun!) which I took home and hung in Katie's cage. She put one foot on
it, sniffed it and that's it. It hung there for a week, untouched, waiting
for her to get used to it. No luck. So, I took it out, and decided that she
didn't like it because it was made of slick nylon. She didn't feel secure
hanging there on that slippery thing. Well I just sewed a big square of
flannel blanket material to the top, put it back in the cage, and now she
LOVES it!!  I don't think some of the companies that make these things have
ever actually been around ferrets, otherwise they'd make all their products
fluffy and soft, not slippery.
