Thanks for the info, Joanie.
I have received a few responses from several other FMLers whose ferrets also
get a little smellier during shedding season, so I guess this isn't unique.
(I've also gotton several flames from people who insist that all ferret
smell is normal and if I can't get used to it I'm a rotton person or
something like that (grrrrrrr))
Anyway, I'd like to open this up to all. Does anyone else think their
ferrets smell more during one time period/season or another? I wan't to
learn as much as I can about this cute little guys, and this seems like the
best place to ask around.
BTW, I also have a sensitive nose. It took me a while to get used to the
normal ferret smell (which my girlfriend informed me was just like having a
dog or any animal like that. Having only had cats before, I didn't expect
it <s>)
Also, for anyone else who may have a sensitive nose, but loves their ferts,
try an air purifier/ionizer next to their cage. I got one and it makes a
world of difference (when combined with cleaning their litterbox daily and
changing the bedding almost as often)
