Sterling Silver (Silver Mitt) families:

The pet store I bought my year+ old girl Niles from told me I was buying a
Silver Mitt. Since then (and since owning another Silver Mitt), I have
found she is a Sterling. When Niles' kid coat became an adult coat it was
summer and she came in with vert short hair (and a all round pretty
undesirable - for a girl - coat; it looks like a "buzz-cut"). Well when our
first winter rolled around, Niles grew the most gorgeous, outstanding long
white hair - with accent darker hair (with her black eyes she was a
photo-shoot waiting to happen. Well, then, summer rolls around and she
starts rapidly dropping her coat. Seems like one day it was there, and the
next day it wasn't. Guess what? Niles' regular summer coat (buzz-cut) is
back and she is sporting some yellow on her tail.

Since we live in Texas, it gets warmer here earlier than some states, so
maybe Roberto's (described yesterday) fert will surprise him come winter.

I personally think Niles must have a little Ermine in the woodpile
somewhere. Fortunately for Niles, she knows she is beautiful to her fert
gaggle, dog family and human family all the time.

Love to all - Kay
