Hello all. I recently have aquired my first ferret (named Wumpus. Yeah
it's cutesy as hell, but it's better than "Weasel" :) and was wondering
about something I haven't been able to find on the web anywhere. Can
ferrets see color and if so is their range of colors/ability to distinguish
hues comperable to that of humans?
Also, as my apartment specifically forbids me to have a ferret, ("They're
stinky and chew on the furniture!" sayeth the landlord. *sigh* And yeah I
know, "If you can't have one why did you get one?" It's a long story, all
right?) I was wondering if y'all had any good tips on how to keep them
hidden when the landlord is "showing" the apt. to prospective tennants for
next year. Luckily I always get 24 hours notice. Obviously the
cage/toys/food/smell needs to be dealt with, but I'm bound to overlook
something, and would like some pointers. As for the little monster herself
(she's a 7 week old MF sable. Cute as possible and never bites.) I'm not
sure what to do. So far my best bet is to send her on a field trip with my
girlfriend or take her into the john during showings, run the shower, and be
"in disposed".
The reasons for the anon should be obvious. ;)
thanks alot,
Bear
