Hello folks

It's been a while since my last post, but I'm still here.

I've got a problem with two of my ferrets. Kian is an older established
male. Peter is a younger, newer male who came into my life back in may.
Since arriving Kian has been very agressive to Peter. When it started, Kian
would ignore everything to get at Peter, including treats. Right now Kian
is still hostile. However, he will go for treats or exploring before
hostility. He won't fight if I'm holding the two of them. And he often
just ignores Peter. He seems to attack when Peter is in "his terratory", ie
his bed, his hamock in the cage, his snuggle tube, or snuggling with Mhaire.
His behavior seems to indicate jealousy and territorialism. His hostility
ranges from posturing, to shoving, to a relentless, all out attack (Grab and
shake). Poor Peter has scabs on his back and doesn't mount a serious
defense unless he can get under something low. Sometimes Kian is content
with Peter's retreat, sometimes he isn't. There are times I think Kian is
finaly giving in, and others I think we have a long way to go. Does anyone
have any thoughts or suggestions that might speed up the process of
acceptance on Kian's part?

Also, I recently puchased a new, larger cage, and would like to sell my old
large cage. (I live in New Hampshire). It has two main stories and three
cat/ferret walks. I paid about $100 for it and am willing to let it go for
$35. E-mail me if you are interested.
