Hi all,

I'm a new ferret owner/lurker on this list, and I have to say that between
the FAQ and your posts here, I feel now feel capable of taking care of the
little beast.

He is very very friendly, curious and all that stuff. He learned to use his
litters quickly and I've not had an accident yet.

He also seems to not bite me very hard--little love nibbles. However, he
scratches and bites my SO so badly that she sometimes looks like a gang of
angry cats have attacked her. We've tried yelling (no good at all),
coaxing, coddling, and nose flicking. No good so far. I'd like to hear
about hot sauce and bitter apple. If hot sauce is dangerous, I DO NOT want
to try it. As for bitter apple....what the heck is it, and where can I get
some??? My local pet store has never even heard of it. BTW, they don't
carry ferretone either....I had to special order it, and I'm still waiting
to get it.

Private replies are good, and I'll post the concensus.

Again, I just want to say thank-you for the info you've all provided on
ferrets.

Cheers!
Matthew.
