Will more ferrets mean more work? In the poop department, yes indeed.
Other than that, you can expect to spend the same amount of play time with
them, but to get a whole lot more fun out of it (as will Bandit).
Q: Will adding more ferrets lead to personal conflicts? A: Ferrets work
these things out among themselves. When I first introduced Bear to Feasty
(both neut. male), Feasty grabbed Bear by the neck and drug him back to the
nest. Panic set in and I chased the pair back to the nest. Out of the
drawer popped two peeking noses, neither the worse for wear. Turns out that
Feasty was being a good father and simply took the young kit back to the
nest where such youngsters belong. Took two days before Bear was allowed to
roam the house unattended.
Even as an 8 week old, Bear would wrassle and fight with Feasty (a healthy
4lbs of Feasty!!!). If you watch the fight long enough, you could see them
trade off who is on top (not that there isn't a great deal of hissing and
squeeking involved). Bear enjoys infinite energy, Feasty, his size.
Ferret math is inevitable: Give in, Give in, Give in...
