Sorry about the extremely short notice about the CBS piece, but I didn't get
any help from CBS!  I was called earlier that day but was out of the office,
and didn't get the message until about 1:30 P.M.  California time.  If you
receive my California Update, you received the information about 2:30 P.M.
Unfortunately, BIG did not get the piece until about that same time.  I had
hoped for at least a day's notice, but you do what you can.
 
I found the piece positive but definitely short on details.  John Blackstone
had interviewed our author, Jan Goldsmith, Michael Lynch, author of the PRI
Report, in addition to myself, so they certainly had enough tape on the
facts to show the controversy.  Sadly, they decided to do a fluff piece
instead.  On the other hand, any positive coverage is just that..  positive.
So, it's better than nothing, just disappointing.
 
Anyway, I am sorry for the late details-- would have preferred hearing about
it sooner myself.
