Kit,
It's very unlikely that your friend's problems have arisen from a surgery he
had TWO months ago. It's impossible to diagnose a problem like this from
long distance, but assuming your vet has already run the appropriate
bloodwork and radiology, he/she might consider exploratory or endoscopy to
check for gastric ulcers, tumors, or inflamatory bowel disease.
