PLEASE READ THE MEDICAL FAQS!!!
 
Diane, (under Stephen Bodofsky's account), not everyone has the same
symptoms for any of the medical conditions you mentioned.  I appreciate you
wanting to help, but that's why folks just getting on the FML should read
the FAQs, including the medical ones.  There are separate FAQs on all of the
conditions you mentioned that were compiled by ferret vets.
 
For instance, I've had experience with all three, and I can tell you that
not all the symptoms you mentioned will be present.  There's no need to
possibly frighten new ferret owners, and that can be easily done.  The
"rough fur between shoulders" for adrenal -- my 8 1/2 y.o.  Elektra (RIP)
had that all of her life and didn't have adrenal!
 
Sorry I hopped on my soapbox, but since this list has more than doubled in
the last two years that I've been on, I've seen lots of new ferret owners
who worry themselves into a frenzy for nothing!
 
Oh, and btw, adrenal disease is NOT Cushing's!!! (One of my pet peeves!)
